📖 About Dunwoody Branch

The Dunwoody Library opened in 1980 and, when it outgrew its first home, moved in 1989 into the former Dunwoody Elementary School on Chamblee-Dunwoody Road. On August 19, 1989 more than 300 residents formed a human chain and passed books hand to hand to the new building, an event remembered locally as the Book Brigade. The Friends of the Dunwoody Library, formed in 1979, still support the branch.
