📖 About Cabarrus County Public Library
Cabarrus County Public Library's Concord branch sits at 27 Union Street North in the heart of a city that is home to Charlotte Motor Speedway and several of NASCAR's top racing teams, including Hendrick Motorsports. Concord grew as a Piedmont textile center in the late 19th century — the Coleman Manufacturing Company, founded here, was among the first African-American-owned cotton mills in the nation. The library serves this diverse community with an extensive collection, an online catalog accessible from home, and free statewide digital resources through NC LIVE. Extended weekday hours until 8 PM on Monday through Thursday make the library accessible to students and working families, while Friday and Saturday hours extend through late afternoon.
