Encompassing 15,000 square feet on a single story, it was deliberately built as a prototype for future SDPL branch construction, incorporating efficient layout design and community-focused amenities. The branch serves Skyline Hills and Paradise Hills — two historically underserved southeastern San Diego neighborhoods — with a 52-computer lab, dedicated children's and teen spaces, a homework area, and a large community room with kitchen that can accommodate up to 252 people. With 90 parking spaces and extended Monday evening hours, the library is a true community hub on Paradise Valley Road.
