The Green Hills Branch Library has served the Green Hills neighborhood of Davidson County since 2000 as part of the Nashville Public Library system. The 25,000-square-foot facility at 3701 Benham Avenue offers one of the most complete service portfolios in the NPL network, including a Studio NPL makerspace for teens, a gallery space that showcases local artists on a rotating basis, an outdoor patio and children's garden, board game collections, a Metro Arts Lending Library, and a seed exchange. It also provides meeting rooms, study rooms, public computers, free Wi-Fi, mobile printing, photocopiers, and world language children's materials. Beginning January 4, 2026, the branch closed for its first comprehensive renovation in 25 years — the result of a community input process that drew more than 600 participants who called for a new children's area and expanded meeting spaces. Anticipated reopening is winter 2026. During the renovation, returns can be made at any other NPL location.
