The Juniper Library opened on July 13, 1996 at 1825 W. Union Hills Dr. in the 85027 area of north Phoenix, a 14,435-square-foot branch designed by Randall Fonce Architects, Inc. Its collection reflects the diversity of its neighborhood, with materials in Chinese, Hindi, and Spanish alongside the general collection. Visitors are greeted by An Open Book, a public art installation of translucent resin blocks representing letters of the alphabet, created by Mayme Katz, Debra L. Hopkins, and Valerie Vadala-Homer. The branch offers a generous multi-purpose room that seats 60 audience-style or 40 with tables and chairs, plus practical amenities like holds lockers, mobile printing, Wi-Fi hotspot lending, and blood pressure kit checkout. Electric vehicle charging is available on-site, and the library sits within City of Phoenix Council District 3.
