📖 About 53rd Street Library

The 53rd Street Library opened June 27, 2016 as the replacement for the Donnell Library Center (which operated 1955-2008). The 28,000-square-foot branch, designed by TEN Arquitectos, occupies the lower floors of the Baccarat Hotel and Residences tower in Midtown Manhattan. Free e-books, e-audiobooks and digital databases; classes and programs for kids, teens and adults (storytimes, language conversation groups, gaming events); Wi-Fi and public computer access; group tours and class visits; fully accessible; no late fines.
