📖 About Mulberry Street Library
The Mulberry Street Library opened in 2007 on the site of a former chocolate factory (once home to Hawley & Hoops candy) in Manhattan's Cast Iron District near NoHo/Nolita. Designed by Rogers Marvel Architects, the space retains original beams, columns and metal doors, with a ground-level entrance and two subterranean floors connected by a staircase that draws natural light downstairs. Free e-books and e-audiobooks via SimplyE; digital databases, magazines and newspapers; classes and programs for kids, teens and adults; Shelf Help personalized book selection service; community resource assistance; computer reservations; fully accessible.
