About L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library

The L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library is the main public library serving Eau Claire, Wisconsin, located at 400 Eau Claire Street in the heart of the city. Named in honor of Lumberman and philanthropist L.E. Phillips, the library has been a cornerstone of the Chippewa Valley community since its establishment in the early 20th century. The library offers an extensive collection of books, periodicals, DVDs, audiobooks, and digital materials for people of all ages.

The library provides robust digital services including eBooks and audiobooks via Libby/OverDrive, streaming video through Kanopy and Hoopla, and access to dozens of online research databases. Children's programming includes weekly storytimes, summer reading challenges, and STEM activities. The library is also a member of the Indianhead Federated Library System, allowing Eau Claire cardholders to borrow materials from libraries across northwestern Wisconsin.
