The Renner-Frankford Branch Library serves the far north Dallas community along the former Township of Renner, which was incorporated into Dallas and gave the branch half its name. It opened on January 31, 1987, and has evolved into a neighborhood institution recognized for environmental stewardship: in 2022 a Pollinator Garden was established outside the branch in partnership with North Texas Master Naturalists, whose volunteers now maintain it and keep a labeled-plant notebook inside for patron reference.
