The Bentleyville Public Library is the public library of Bentleyville, a small borough in Washington County, Pennsylvania, in the coal-country hills south of Pittsburgh. It was founded in 1941 by the Bentleyville chapter of the Daughters of the American Pioneers and today serves Bentleyville along with Cokeburg, Ellsworth Borough, North Bethlehem and Somerset Township. The library is one of the 14 independent members of the Washington County Library System, a federated system in which each library keeps its own board but shares WAGGIN, a joint catalog of more than 750,000 items with holds and delivery between libraries. Alongside its print collection the library offers public computers, downloadable eBooks and audiobooks, and free access to the POWER Library, Pennsylvania's statewide collection of research databases.
