Gladstone Library opened its brand-new 6,000-square-foot home at 525 Portland Avenue in September 2024, replacing the decades-old Dartmouth Street branch with a purpose-built space that finally gives Clackamas County's oldest incorporated city the library it had been planning since 2019.

📖 About Gladstone Library
Gladstone Library is a Clackamas County branch within the LINCC network of 13 member libraries serving the greater Portland region. The city of Gladstone — incorporated in 1911 on land near the confluence of the Willamette and Clackamas Rivers — had sought a permanent library building for years. In October 2022 the Board of County Commissioners committed $6 million in American Rescue Plan Act funds to the project, and ground was broken in June 2023. The new 6,000-square-foot facility at the former Gladstone City Hall site on Portland Avenue held its grand opening and dedication on September 28, 2024. It features flexible meeting space, dedicated children's and teen areas, public computers, an external book-drop and a garden-seed lending program called Seeds for Sharing. A Gladstone card works across all 13 LINCC member libraries and unlocks Libby, hoopla and Answerland through Oregon's statewide digital network.
