Ada Public Library is the public library of Ada, Ohio, a Hardin County college town home to Ohio Northern University. The library stands at 320 N. Main Street and serves a community of roughly 8,000 residents, circulating more than 54,000 items annually from a collection of over 23,000 volumes. One of the library's most distinctive assets is its Local Digital Archives, which brings together digitized runs of the Ada Herald, the Ada Record, Ada High School yearbooks, and Hardin County probate, birth, and church records — primary sources that draw genealogists and local historians from across the region. As a member of the Ohio Public Library Information Network (OPLIN), Ada cardholders have home access to the Ohio Digital Library statewide eBook and audiobook collection as well as a suite of research databases at no cost.
