📖 About Sally Stretch Keen Memorial Library
The Sally Stretch Keen Memorial Library was incorporated in 1898 specifically to establish and maintain a free public library for the benefit of residents of Southampton Township, Burlington County, New Jersey. The original library building at 94 Main Street in Vincentown was constructed in 1923. More than fifty years later, in 1976, the adjacent firehouse was converted into a Children's Library through an agreement with the Township Committee, doubling the library's program and collection space. Today both buildings continue to operate: the adult library at (609) 859-3598 and the children's library at (609) 859-9002. The library is one of fifteen member branches of the Burlington County Library System (BCLS), which shares a unified catalog and digital collection across the county. Through BCLS, cardholders access Libby/OverDrive for eBooks and audiobooks, hoopla for streaming media, Kanopy for films and the New York Times Online. The library serves not just Southampton residents but also neighbors in Tabernacle, Shamong, Lumberton, Medford and surrounding communities.
