The Carson City Library is the public library of Carson City, Nevada's capital, operated by the city government at 900 North Roop Street. Its mission is to support and enhance the community's quality of life through both traditional and non-traditional services, and its stated vision is to become the premier destination for the community's discovery and learning needs. Beyond books, the library is known for leaning into "innovation, discovery and creation": it runs the Capital Makers makerspace, a hands-on space with tools and equipment that opened in 2018, and it has developed business and entrepreneurship resources through a Business Resource and Innovation Center. What is Capital Makers at the Carson City Library?
Capital Makers is the library's makerspace, an innovation space on the first floor that opened in 2018. It gives the community open access to tools, equipment and technology for hands-on projects.
