Babcock Library is the public library of Ashford, a rural town in Windham County in northeastern Connecticut. The library is housed on the second floor of Knowlton Memorial Hall, which commemorates Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Knowlton — an Ashford native who served in the Seven Years' War and died leading his Rangers at the Battle of Harlem Heights in 1776. A reproduction of John Trumbull's painting 'The Death of General Warren at the Battle of Bunker's Hill' is displayed in the building.
