📖 About Eagle Public Library

Eagle Public Library is the headquarters branch of the Eagle Valley Library District, a three-branch public library system established by Eagle County voters on November 3, 1992. Opened in 1997 in the county seat of Eagle — a mountain community at 6,601 feet on the Eagle River — it is the only branch housing both the district's Spark Studio makerspace and its Local History Department. Two sister branches (Avon, opened 1995; Gypsum, opened 2011) and a bilingual bookmobile serving Edwards, Minturn, Dotsero, Red Cliff, McCoy, and surrounding communities complete the district's reach across Eagle County. The library's collection spans physical and digital, from the Marmot shared catalog to Libby ebooks, and a Check Out Colorado program lets cardholders borrow free seven-day passes to all 42 Colorado State Parks.
