The Downtown Library is the flagship and administrative headquarters of the Chandler Public Library system, a four-branch network whose roots trace to August 1954, when the Chandler Junior Woman's Club raised $5,560 door-to-door and built the city's first library — then handed the keys to the City of Chandler.
