Town Creek Public Library has long been a community anchor in northwestern Lawrence County, offering far more than books to the families and individuals it serves. In partnership with Northwest Shoals Community College, the library hosts weekly Adult Education, GED preparation, and WorkKeys Assessment classes that help residents earn credentials and advance their careers. A hands-on StoryWalk trail was added to the library grounds with a $15,000 LSTA grant from the American Libraries Association, inviting families to read while they walk. The collection of more than 10,000 items spans books, audiobooks, DVDs, and digital resources, and ten free public computers with Wi-Fi give every visitor access to the internet.
