The Lucile L. Morgan Public Library was established on November 11, 1963, when it opened in a rented residence on Vickery Street with Bonnie Jarrad as its inaugural librarian. The library relocated to its current home on Ross Street in 1970, growing its collection and services alongside the Cleburne County community. Today it operates as a member of the Cheaha Regional Library system, which serves seven communities across Clay, Cleburne, Randolph, Talladega, and Cherokee counties. Patrons enjoy eight public computers with high-speed internet, photocopying, scanning, fax services, and remote access to statewide digital databases. The Friends of the Library organization actively supports programming and community outreach.
