The Grant Public Library sits on Main Street in Grant, Alabama, a small Marshall County town of about 1,000 residents that was named in honor of General Ulysses S. Grant by local Union sympathizers. Grant was incorporated in 1945 and is perhaps best known today for Cathedral Caverns State Park, a nationally recognized cave preserve roughly five miles to the north. The library gives residents convenient five-day weekly access to books, audiobooks, public computers and free Wi-Fi, plus digital resources including eBooks and audiobooks through hoopla and the statewide Alabama Virtual Library (AVL).
