The Utah County Bookmobile is a mobile library service operated as a joint effort of the Utah State Library Division, Utah County, and the Town of Vernon. It is headquartered at the Mapleton City Library, located on the main floor of Mapleton City Hall at 125 West 400 North, Mapleton, UT 84664. The bookmobile serves residents of Utah County as well as the towns of Vernon (Tooele County) and Eureka (Juab County) — communities without convenient access to a traditional library building. The vehicle makes 19 scheduled stops and serves 14 communities and three schools, carrying more than 5,000 items including picture books, easy readers, fiction (mysteries, westerns, romance), non-fiction, large print, bestsellers, DVDs, CDs, and videos. Patrons also have access to interlibrary loans for hard-to-find titles. The headquarters library in Mapleton additionally offers a Literacy Center with free tutoring, a Parent Resource Center with early-reader materials, Story Time on Tuesdays, and a Summer Reading Program.
