📖 About Pleasant Grove City Library
Pleasant Grove City Library has served Utah County residents from its downtown location at 30 East Center Street since the current building opened in 1988. Spanning approximately 10,000 square feet — far smaller than national recommendations for a city of Pleasant Grove's size — the library nevertheless circulates between 35,000 and 42,000 items monthly and welcomes more than 124,000 in-person visitors a year. In 2018 a complete remodel of the Children's Library, funded in part by a donation from St. John Properties, added universal accessibility and reimagined the youth space. The library is governed by a City-appointed Library Board and became a founding member of the Timpanogos Library Consortium (TLC) in April 2025, a shared catalog and courier service with American Fork and Highland City Libraries. Its upstairs Literacy Center provides free one-on-one tutoring to K–12 students and is open Monday–Thursday 2–7pm.

Yes. Since April 2025, Pleasant Grove is a founding member of the Timpanogos Library Consortium (TLC) with American Fork City Library and Highland City Library. You're automatically enrolled in all three libraries, can place holds from any branch, and have materials couriered to your home library for pickup. The three libraries share a single catalog at pleasantgrove.aspendiscovery.org.
Does the library charge overdue fines?
No. Pleasant Grove City Library is fine-free — there are no overdue fees. If an item is not returned within four weeks of its final due date, the replacement cost of the item is charged. Most items also renew automatically up to three times.
What is the Literacy Center upstairs, and who can use it?
The Literacy Center is a free one-on-one tutoring program on the upper floor of the library for students in grades K–12 who need reading help.
