📖 About West Linn Public Library
The West Linn Public Library is the public library of West Linn, Oregon, a city of about 27,000 where the Willamette meets the Tualatin River just south of Portland. It opened on March 1, 1939, with a 300-book collection on the second floor of city hall, staffed by two workers hired through the National Youth Administration. After outgrowing city hall it moved to the Bolton Fire Station community room in 1978, then in 1989 into a purpose-built 10,000-square-foot library on Burns Street designed by SRG Partnership; a 2002 renovation, again by SRG Partnership, expanded it to today's 28,000-square-foot facility with two meeting rooms, a computer lab and an art gallery. The library is a member of the Library Information Network of Clackamas County (LINCC), a 13-library consortium, so a single card borrows and places holds across the whole county through the shared lincc.org catalog.
