The Rolla Public Library is the public library of Rolla, Missouri, the seat of Phelps County in the south-central Ozarks and home to Missouri University of Science and Technology. The library at 900 N. Pine Street is dedicated to enhancing quality of life by providing resources and services for lifelong learning, and its mission shows in the breadth of its collection and programming. With more than 70,000 books, magazines, newspapers, books on CD, and DVDs, plus online databases covering consumer information, legal forms, genealogy, academic research and periodical articles, the library serves students, families, researchers and senior residents alike. Beyond the traditional collection it offers a Seed Library (borrow seeds, grow plants, return seeds), loanable kits for STEAM exploration, birdwatching, memory care and pickleball, public meeting rooms, 11 internet computers, wireless internet, copying, faxing and printing. It is a member of the Missouri Evergreen consortium, and its catalog is searchable at rolla.missourievergreen.org. A Friends of the Rolla Library group supports special projects and programming.
