📖 About Northeast Regional Library — Corinth
Northeast Regional Library was founded in 1951, making it the second oldest regional library system in Mississippi. The Corinth headquarters at 1023 North Fillmore Street serves as the hub for a 13-branch network that reaches across Alcorn, Prentiss, Tippah, and Tishomingo counties — four counties in the northeastern corner of Mississippi with a combined population of approximately 104,000 residents. From Corinth, centralized staff handle materials ordering, cataloging, processing, and distribution for every branch, and maintain the regional online catalog. The system circulates more than 360,000 items per year from a collection of over 206,000 volumes. The Corinth branch itself retains original children's furniture dating to when the building first opened in the late 1960s. The library is governed by a five-member Regional Board of Trustees — one representative per county plus a rotating fifth. Digital resources available to all system cardholders include the statewide MAGNOLIA research databases, Libby for eBooks and audiobooks, hoopla for on-demand streaming and comics, and ABCmouse for early childhood learning. The library also provides online driving test preparation and resume-building tools.
