📖 About Northtown Library
Northtown Library is a branch of the Anoka County Library, the public library system serving Blaine and the north Twin Cities suburbs of Anoka County, Minnesota. The building opened in 1963 and grew into a roughly 25,000-square-foot branch; after a major remodel in 1991 it closed again in early 2014 for a top-to-bottom renovation, reopening that June as a brighter, more open space with study rooms, a large community room equipped with a smartboard, and comfortable reading areas. In 2016 the branch added a drive-up materials return for quick, no-park returns. As one of Anoka County's seven library branches, Northtown shares a single library card, catalog and delivery network across the whole system, so a card here also borrows from every other Anoka County Library location.
