📖 About Webber Park Library
Webber Park Library serves the Camden area of North Minneapolis at 4440 Humboldt Avenue North. The current building opened May 18, 2017, replacing a 1980 structure that was razed in 2013 after it developed structural problems. The design nods to its surroundings: a veneer of Lake Superior green granite echoes the nearby Victory Memorial Parkway marker, while zinc panels, Douglas fir columns and wood-finish ceilings give the interior a warm, natural feel. Window walls pull daylight deep into the reading rooms, and a wraparound porch facing Humboldt Avenue mirrors the front porches of the residential streets around it. At roughly twice the size of the old building, the branch expanded public service from three days a week to six and added a dedicated early-literacy play space for young children.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Why does Webber Park Library look so different from an older branch library?
The current building is new — it opened in May 2017 after the previous 1980 library was demolished in 2013 due to structural failure. Its green granite skin, fir columns and window walls were designed specifically to bring in natural light and reflect the surrounding Camden neighborhood.

What are the late-evening hours at Webber Park Library?
The branch stays open until 8 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday it is open 9 AM to 5 PM, and it is closed on Sundays.
