📖 About Kapaʻa Public Library
The Kapaʻa Public Library opened on March 12, 1955, and in 2025 the branch celebrated 70 years of continuous service to the east-side community with a lei-making demonstration, a ceremony, and performances by the Kapaʻa Middle School Choir and ʻUkulele Band. The library keeps a warm, small-town feel while offering modern amenities such as free Wi-Fi and public computers, and it is championed by the Friends of the Kapaʻa Public Library. Because it serves the busiest town on Kauaʻi, the branch pairs everyday lending with a full slate of youth and community programming.
