📖 About George H. & Ella M. Rodgers Memorial Library

The George H. & Ella M. Rodgers Memorial Library serves Hudson, a Hillsborough County town across the Merrimack River from Nashua. Hudson's library story began at the 1909 Hills Memorial Library, but by the 2000s the town had outgrown that building; a $4 million gift from brothers G. Philip and Alvin H. Rodgers funded a new library, which opened in 2009 and carries their parents' names. The collection of roughly 45,000 local items is dramatically expanded through membership in GMILCS (the Greater Manchester Integrated Library Consortial System), a group of 13 southern New Hampshire libraries that share a catalog of about 1.4 million titles on the Polaris system. Hudson cardholders can borrow across all GMILCS libraries and download eBooks, audiobooks and streaming media from home. The library is open six days a week, with late evening hours Tuesday through Thursday and a Saturday morning, and is closed Sunday.
