📖 About Linwood Public Library

The Linwood Public Library is an independent public library serving Linwood, a residential city on the Jersey Shore of Atlantic County, roughly five miles west of Atlantic City. The library adopted its Library Bill of Rights on June 18, 1948, and has operated from several locations over the decades; since 1988 it has been housed in the renovated Crestlea Park School building at 301 Davis Avenue. Linwood operates independently of the Atlantic County Library System and is a proud member of the Coalition of Independent Libraries of South Jersey (COIL). Its collection of nearly 35,000 volumes circulates more than 41,000 items per year to a service population of about 7,100. A Hotspot Lending Program provides mobile Wi-Fi hotspot devices so residents with limited home internet can access digital resources. Through JerseyCat, patrons can search and borrow from over 700 New Jersey libraries; through JerseyClicks, they reach research databases funded by the state — all free with a library card.
