<p>Established in 1992 through a bequest from local historian <strong>Frances Beven Ryan</strong> (1901–1990), the Pioneer Room houses the Escondido Public Library's non-circulating collections of local history, genealogy, and archival materials focused on Escondido and North County San Diego.
