<p>The Eastwood Branch of Kalamazoo Public Library traces its roots to 1912, making it one of the system's oldest branch locations. The current building on Gayle Avenue on Kalamazoo's east side was completed in 1996, replacing the original structure with a modern facility suited to the neighborhood's needs. As part of a system that received the American Library Association's Library of the Year award in 2002 and the State Librarian's Citation of Excellence in 2012, the Eastwood Branch offers circulating books, DVDs, and digital media alongside public computers and free Wi-Fi. All KPL cardholders also have free access to Libby for eBooks and audiobooks and to Michigan eLibrary (MeL) for statewide research databases.</p>
