Sump Memorial Library has been a civic anchor of Papillion, Nebraska since 1921, when a donated collection of community books launched what would grow into Sarpy County's downtown public library. Located at 222 North Jefferson Street, the library holds books, DVDs, CDs, magazines and newspapers alongside deep research databases through NebraskAccess — including Ancestry Library Edition, Heritage Hub obituaries reaching back to 1704, and the Papillion Times on microfilm from December 1874 through March 2003. A second location at Papillion Landing (1046 W Lincoln St) extends the library's reach with digital media and a full makerspace.
