Princess Anne Area Library is one of eight public branches of the Virginia Beach Public Library system, serving the Princess Anne district of Virginia Beach — Virginia's most populous independent city. The branch sits at 1444 Nimmo Parkway in a newer commercial corridor near the Virginia Beach Municipal Center and Town Center South. Together with the Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library and the Kempsville Area Library, it holds one of three Seed Library partnerships maintained jointly by VBPL, the Virginia Beach Master Gardeners, and the Virginia Beach Department of Agriculture, offering free vegetable, herb, and flower seeds to cardholders each growing season. Residents hold free library cards through the system; non-Virginia Beach residents may obtain cards for a fee.
