Locust Street serves north Denton and surrounding neighborhoods, and has earned recognition as a designated Family Place Library — a national initiative supporting early childhood development and family engagement. The branch features a Legacy Lab dedicated to genealogy and local history research, a Forge Makerspace, and meeting rooms for the community. It is the most generously scheduled branch in the system, offering nine-hour days Monday through Wednesday (9 AM–9 PM) and open every day of the week including Sundays. North Branch is managed by Rebecca Ivey and serves the Texas Woman's University and University of North Texas area communities.</p>
