About E.G. Fisher Public Library

E.G. Fisher Public Library has served as the intellectual heart of Athens and McMinn County, Tennessee for generations. Located at 1289 Ingleside Avenue, this welcoming library carries the motto "Inspiring Generations" — a testament to its deep commitment to lifelong learning, literacy, and community enrichment. The library's collections span books, DVDs, audiobooks, and a growing digital catalog, with access to Tennessee Electronic Library resources and OverDrive's digital lending platform. A unique Seed Library allows patrons to borrow and plant seeds, connecting the community to local agriculture and sustainability.

Programming at E.G.
