Coos Bay Public Library is the public library of Coos Bay, the largest coastal city in Oregon. The library is a member of the Coastline Libraries consortium, giving cardholders access to a shared catalog and digital resources. The current building at 525 Anderson Avenue sits on land that was historically a tidal slough — fill was placed over the area decades ago, and a 2014 engineering study identified significant structural issues with the aging pilings. The city is planning a new library facility at John Topits Park to replace the current structure.
