<p>Rio Rancho Public Libraries traces its roots to a volunteer-run collection formed by the Rio Rancho Community Library Association in November 1975. When the city incorporated in 1981, it hired Esther Bone — Professor Emeritus in Library Administration at Kent State — as its first paid librarian, and later named this flagship location in her memory. Today the library offers two study rooms, a meeting room, printing and faxing services, and a full calendar of community programs serving Sandoval County's largest city.</p>
