The Grand Forks Public Library is the public library of Grand Forks, North Dakota, on the Red River across from East Grand Forks, Minnesota. Its roots reach back to 1900, when the Grand Forks Federation of Women's Clubs won a tax levy for a public library that opened in rented rooms at the Odd Fellows Temple. Andrew Carnegie funded a dedicated building that opened in 1903 at First Avenue North and 5th Street, and the library served from there until it moved into its present building at 2110 Library Circle in 1972. A $560,000 renovation completed during 2020 brought new carpeting, furniture, lighting and a fresh look to the nearly 50-year-old structure — while keeping a 1981–82 ceramic wall mural on the history of Grand Forks Public Schools — and the library celebrated its 121st birthday and grand reopening in May 2021.
