<p>North Branch Library opened in fall 1995 at 3455 Madison Avenue, replacing the previous North End Branch Library and giving Bridgeport's northern neighborhoods a purpose-built facility. The branch is uniquely situated within a park featuring soccer and lacrosse fields, a playground and splash pad, tennis and pickleball courts, and picnic areas — making it a natural community gathering point beyond its library role. Inside, the branch maintains a dedicated children's section staffed by a librarian, housing the Williams Doll and Folk Toys Collection assembled by the children's staff. North Branch also hosts a recurring Mah Jongg group on Tuesdays and provides access to the full Bridgeport Public Library digital suite.
