The Washington County Library System is the county-funded public library network serving all of Washington County, Arkansas — a separate institution from the independently operated Fayetteville Public Library (faylib.org). Established July 1, 1999 when the two-county Ozark Regional Library System was dissolved, the WCLS has grown into a nine-branch consortium headquartered at 1080 W. Clydesdale Drive in Fayetteville. The system holds more than 208,000 volumes and circulates over one million items annually, reaching a service population of roughly 160,000 residents across cities and towns including Springdale, Elkins, Farmington, Greenland, Lincoln, Prairie Grove, West Fork, and Winslow.
