📖 About Fleming County Public Library
The Fleming County Public Library is the public library district serving Fleming County in northeastern Kentucky's Bluegrass region, with its main — and only — building at 202 Bypass Boulevard in Flemingsburg. The library provides traditional collections of books, audiobooks and DVDs alongside a growing Library of Things (dulcimers, bubble machines, metal detectors, ukuleles, fishing poles, projector screens and more), a genealogy collection, special collections and free access to databases including Ancestry Library Edition and MyHeritage for family research. A bookmobile extends services to six communities across the county — Ewing, Hillsboro, Maxey Flats, Goddard, Wallingford and Mt. Carmel. The library partners with the Fleming County School District to provide Tutor.com free of charge (noon to midnight daily) and operates Dolly Parton's Imagination Library for preschool children, alongside a Story Walk on the Reservoir Park trail in downtown Flemingsburg. Cardholders also access Kentucky's statewide digital platforms: Kentucky Library OverDrive/Libby for eBooks and audiobooks, Kanopy for streaming cinema, Kentucky Virtual Library (KYVL) databases, Mango Languages and more. Curbside pickup is available during all open hours.
