📖 About Loveland Public Library
Loveland Public Library has served its community since 1903, when the Women's Improvement Society established the city's first organized lending library in the home of founding librarian Anna Duffield. A Carnegie grant funded a purpose-built library that opened in 1908; the current building in the Civic Center Municipal Complex at 300 N. Adams Avenue opened in September 1987 and was dramatically expanded in 2012 with a 24,700-square-foot addition — a renovation that earned LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, making it the first City of Loveland building to achieve that designation. The library holds 137,511 volumes, circulates nearly 740,000 items annually, maintains 45+ community partnerships, and houses a Makerspace, a first-floor Local History and Genealogy Room, and an art gallery in the Central Galleria.
