📖 About Alburgh Public Library
The Alburgh Public Library traces its roots to the late 1800s, when it operated as the Alburgh Village Library Association with support from the Vermont State Library. After moving through several donated spaces over the decades, the library settled on its current site and transformed into a full-service municipal library supported by public funds in 1989. Located at 128 South Main Street in the Champlain Islands village of Alburgh, the library draws patrons from the surrounding Grand Isle County communities as well as seasonal visitors from Quebec and neighboring New York. The library maintains a catalog through LibraryWorld OPAC and offers access to digital eBooks and audiobooks through both Libby and the Palace Project app, which includes a free 'Palace Bookshelf' of permanent-to-keep titles. Wi-Fi is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, both inside and outside the building, supporting patrons who need connectivity outside regular open hours.
