📖 About Spanish River Library

Spanish River Library & Community Center opened on January 26, 2008, bringing a 40,940-square-foot facility to the northern Boca Raton corridor. Operated by the City of Boca Raton as part of Boca Raton Public Library, the branch mirrors the Downtown Library's collection of more than 233,000 items while also providing community center amenities. In 2015 the system opened the Discover Studio — a technology instruction space for emerging-skills programming — which serves both locations. The library is the direct successor to an institution that traces its roots to January 1923, when the Woman's Club of Boca Raton established the city's first community library.
