<p>Kennedy Branch Library is a branch of the Gary Public Library located on Broadway in Gary's south side. Originally opened in 1915 as the Glen Park Branch — one of the first neighborhood branches in the Gary system — the location was later renamed in honor of President John F. Kennedy. The branch reflects the Gary Public Library's long tradition of neighborhood service: the system was founded on March 30, 1908, with a Carnegie grant that funded a Classical Revival main library building in 1912. Kennedy Branch today offers computer access, reference services, and a welcoming space for community members in the southern part of the city. Gary Public Library cardholders also have access to digital resources including OverDrive and hoopla for e-books and streaming media.</p>
