<p>Sunnyside Library is one of two public branches operated by the Southwest La Plata Library District, serving the rural communities of southwest La Plata County from its location within Sunnyside Elementary School at 75 County Road 218 in southern Durango. The district was established to bring library services to residents of Hesperus, Breen, Kline, Marvel, Red Mesa, Sunnyside, Bondad, and Southern Durango — communities not served by the City of Durango's main library. The branch offers a public circulating collection, free Wi-Fi extended into the parking lot until 11 PM nightly via the network SWLPLDPublic (password: ParkingLot), and access to the district's online card catalog and digital services including Libby for eBooks and audiobooks. During the school year, the branch opens to the public at 2 PM on Mondays and 3 PM Tuesday through Friday, following school hours.</p>
