The Northwest Library serves the fast-growing far northwest side of Fort Worth from Crystal Lake Drive, in the area near Lake Worth. A community branch rather than a regional hub, it focuses on hands-on learning: patrons can use a Creative Lab, a dedicated children's area, free Wi-Fi, mobile printing pickup, curbside pickup for held items and a rentable meeting room. The interior is distinguished by two public artworks by Sandra Fiedorek. "Letters" (2010) is a set of eleven art-glass windowpanes illuminated with gold leaf, while "Some Keys" (2016) comprises four glass units bearing keyboard symbols in gold leaf — both celebrating the power of the written word. Meeting-room rentals start at $35 per hour, or $15 per hour for verified nonprofit organizations.
