📖 About Linden Branch
The Linden Branch anchors Columbus's South Linden neighborhood at 2223 Cleveland Ave., where the library has served residents for nearly a century. The previous building, dating to 2004, was demolished and rebuilt on the same site as part of Columbus Metropolitan Library's aspirational building program; construction began with an April 17, 2024 "wallbreaking" and the new branch was dedicated in February 2026. Designed by Columbus-based architects Moody Nolan with Turner as construction manager, the two-level building more than doubled the branch's footprint from roughly 12,700 to approximately 27,000 square feet. Its spaces include a larger children's area, dedicated tween and teen zones, study and meeting rooms, public computers and a business center, and commissioned public art celebrating the identity and culture of the Linden community.
