The Northside Branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library stands at 1423 N. High St., in the University District near the Short North and Ohio State University, just north of downtown Columbus. The current building, designed by architecture firm NBBJ and opened in 2019, is a roughly 25,000-square-foot facility that replaced an older 8,000-square-foot branch on the same busy High Street corridor. Built for a fast-growing, student-heavy neighborhood, it offers an expanded student help center, children's programming space, study rooms, meeting space, and public computers, with free on-site parking. As one of the 23 locations in the CML system, the Northside Branch pairs everyday library services with a modern, community-gathering design suited to its dense urban setting.
